Articles are reviewed by at least two reviewers, as well as by the members of the Editorial Board. When needed, external experts from outside the Institute and the Editorial Board are invited to review the materials.

The reviewers' opinions and observations are brought to the author's attention. An article is published after the author has consulted with the reviewers and the submitted material has been accepted.

The Editorial Board decides which materials are included in the journal. The research, interpretations, and conclusions presented in the published materials belong to the authors and cannot be considered as reflecting the editorial policy or the opinion of the Editorial Board or the Institute of History.

The reprinting of materials from the Journal of Moldovan History requires written permission from the Editorial Board.
